Direct storytelling mixing humor and pathos.
Andrea is a very likeable performer.
What I didn't like
Nothing I can think of.
My overall impression
I have seen Andrea do stand up, which I loved, and I was expecting the material to be very blue (which it was). When I heard she was doing a one woman show, I hoped she wouldn’t be disguising a stand up act as a one woman Fringe show. Well, it wasn’t.
While there was certainly a lot of humor, this one hour gem of a performance was packed with stories that made me squirm…until she made me laugh again. It was certainly a delicate balance of heartfelt reveal of a life not experienced by many and funny moments weaved brilliantly together.
One of her lines was, “I paid $3,000 for these” (pointing at her breasts). I can only wonder what she paid for those giant balls she needed to tell her story.
