The musical numbers surprised me and were peppered in just at times to lighten the load of all the heavy substance. Andrea’s performance had moments of transformation, I could see her as a little girl seeking to cheer us up, as her mother so separate from her and the world, and as herself now, claiming her history and passing on the knowledge.
What I didn't like
Technically, the mic could have been louder. The laughs erupted loudly and stopped short for fear of missing another word
My overall impression
Andrea is brave, charming, wise, and hilarious. Her story offers a new view on overexposed topics because of her unique personal experience and her enchanting personality. Ultimately she sheds light on forgiveness, for the self and for those who have hurt us the most. She is a survivor and a fighter, yet has a way of fluffing off horrific imagery in such a darkly comedic way, she epitomizes a distinct Hollywood humility: vital to our collective evolution, and rarely exposed in such a raw earnest way. She has so much to offer, I could have happily witnessed a second act. I left feeling inspired.
