I laughed. I cried. I was amazed. I cared and got love in return. I didn’t want it to end as this is an inspiring story of survival despite the ugliest of odds. I can only imagine the number of shocking other stories This performer hides inside her heart. I hope she writes a book!... full review

What a powerhouse! Andrea's confidence ensures the audience that even in the darkest of moments, they're in good hands. Andrea draws you into some of the most personal, painful corners of her life, yet somehow lights up the room with her humor and poise. ... full review

I LOVED this show so much! Andrea is wickedly hilarious and truly a master of her craft. This is one of those rare shows that made me laugh and cry, and despite the dark subject matter, I left the theatre feeling uplifted and hopeful. I hands down recommend this show! ... full review

Andrea takes us on a journey through her early years coping with severe family trauma, drug abuse, and life in Los Angeles. Similar to Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s live production of “Fleabag,” Andrea demonstrates that you can convey the full arc of a deeply personal story with a simple set, strong writing, and an impenetrable and relatable connection to the words coming out of your mouth. This show is deep, funny, and has you on your toes wondering what will happen next in this very real and wild story. ... full review

I knew when I went to see Andrea Abbate in her one woman show, I would be in tears from laughing. I never expected the tears to be from crying. Andrea managed to open her heart and share herself in the most genuine, emotional, moving, painful, yet hilarious way… it was masterful. Thank God she was blessed with a sense of humor, and thank God we were blessed with Andrea Abbate. ... full review

Andrea uses her incredible comedic timing and storytelling talents to walk us through her struggles and triumphs. I never knew where her story was going, and I loved that I was surprised every step of the way. A big laugh would be followed by a delicate, heartbreaking moment, and I found the way she told this journey to be wildly effective. It was a deeply vulnerable performance that will stay with me for a very long time. ... full review

I have seen Andrea do stand up, which I loved, and I was expecting the material to be very blue (which it was). When I heard she was doing a one woman show, I hoped she wouldn’t be disguising a stand up act as a one woman Fringe show. Well, it wasn’t. While there was certainly a lot of humor, this one hour gem of a performance was packed with stories that made me squirm…until she made me laugh again. It was certainly a delicate balance of heartfelt reveal of a life not experienced by many and funny moments weaved brilliantly together. One of her lines was, “I paid $3,000 for these” (pointing at her breasts). I can only wonder what she paid for those giant balls she needed to tell her story.... full review
