What I didn't like
For my fellow photosensitive epileptics, be aware there’s a use of softly flickering artificial candles throughout the entire performance. In most scenes, the lights on the rest of the stage were high enough to mostly mask the effect for me, but some scenes are solely lit by candlelight which can be harder.
My overall impression
Powerful transfeminist work with a smattering of body horror for flavor. All of the actors excel in their physicality in the space. The use of varying light levels was also a brilliant touch. Mostly I was left wishing I could see it expanded into an even longer work! Definitely give it a shot if you’re in the area.
