The whole cast plays well off of each other. I appreciated using the character Helewise as our de facto narrator, which helped put certain historical details in context. The overall sense of playfulness, both in the script and the actors’ performances, made this a really enjoyable show.

My overall impression
The title alone piqued my interest in this show, and I was not disappointed. Napoleon’s Wh*re Sister is a timely commentary on the too-long history of men’s supposed claim to women’s bodies, all while masquerading as a light-hearted romp. To be clear: the show IS light-hearted. It’s a party, after all! But when the narrative eventually dips into more serious territory, it doesn’t shy away from it.
