The 4th wall breaking narrator have me a history lesson while playing a main role, and sprinkling in 2025 lingo secretly to the audience. If you sit in the front row, prepare to be fondled, accused of adultery, and invited to make lude gestures at the cast. Though the sets and costumes were simple, the cast somehow made the stage feel like a castle, a ballroom, and a dressing room. You will leave and as bemused and infatuated with Napoleon’s whore sister as the people of her time were. Of the 8 shows we saw at the Hollywood Fringe, this was our favorite.
What I didn't like
No notes. It was lovely
My overall impression
Sharp and fast moving dialogue that captivated me. Delightfully deranged performances that gave new breath to these forgotten historical figures. Top notch acting
