What I liked
Clear and multilayered storytelling, with excellent control over the rhythm of the play. Moments that make you laugh sometimes come back with tears. Relationships are complex. JJ might still figuring it out, like all of us do, but she masters in how to builds a great relationship with her audiences, creating something that deeply resonates in us.
What I didn't like
The one thing that distract me a little is when JJ flashbacks her own story, the front light on her is also on the first row of the audience seat. I don’t know if it’s a choice but I’m a person in favor of sitting in the dark. But that’s only my personal preference! The show was wonderful.
My overall impression
I walked into the theatre 5 minutes before the show opens, but happen to have the best 70 minutes of my Friday. Fringe is magical! There’s constantly unexpected events going on and sometimes that might become the best thing that happen in your day.
