What I liked
The Captive Audience Play had great set design, sound cues and multiple layers. I’ve had to sit and think of what to write to encapsulate the experience. Here’s to trying! Austin believably unraveled before our eyes as Zeus. Verity nailed the role of the PA providing the cues of how we were supposed to respond. She also played the producer and makeup artist. Everyone in the cast showed up fully and leaned all the way in.The setup was fun. It took me back to when I clapped for cash as college graduate for television shows. I recommend taking a ride into the absurd with this captive experience. That’s not only funny, it is well grounded in contemporary times and important themes. It is well done. Go see it.
