Thea Pueschel is a third generation Californian, repeated Dorland Mountain Arts Colony Resident, and a multi-hyphenated creative, with a bachelor’s degree in film production and an MBA, among other certificates and degrees. Thea made their stage directorial debut at Short + Sweet Hollywood 2024 with Bara Swain’s ONE WORD and John Bavoso’s AN AWKWARD CONVERSATION IN THE SHADOW OF MOUNT MORIAH (Finalist). Thea has written/directed/produced several micro/short documentaries and films starting in adolescence and returned to the craft of directing narratives after a 10-year hiatus in 2024. During the past decade Thea has had a mixed media solo exhibition at The Center in Orange, artwork featured in Fullerton Museum Center, and had several pieces of non-fiction and fiction published. Thea had their first play THE DISFELLOWSHIPPED (inspired by being excommunicated from the Jehovah’s Witness faith) published in 2024 in the TRANSFORMATION: A WOMEN WHO SUBMIT ANTHOLOGY. Thea returned to directing for the small screen in the latter part of 2024 with TELEHELP 187! (in post) a hilarious black horror comedy and CHUCKY PARA LOS NIÑOS (in production) a bilingual bicultural documentary about cultural relationships with death. Thea looks forward to cashing in their V-card for Fringe in their first full length one person play, THE INJUSTICE OF VIRGINITY.
