This was a large ensemble, and all the actors were absolutely incredible. Just like Dee, who brought remarkable vulnerability, heart, and soul to his performance, the entire cast did the same. It was a beautiful experience to watch their dedication and authenticity come to life on stage.
What I didn't like
Nothing to add here. I loved this work of art!
My overall impression
This play is filled with heart and soul. Dee shares his personal journey with remarkable vulnerability, and it truly resonated with me. As a Mexican-American, I understand that experience of being judged or labeled based on your race—feeling like you’re “not enough” of one thing or “too much” of another. Dee’s honest portrayal of moments where others questioned his identity, especially in dating and social situations—like being told he’s not Asian enough or too Asian—highlight how societal perceptions can deeply impact us. His openness sheds light on these often-unspoken struggles, making his story powerful and relatable. Thank you, Dee, for sharing your journey and inviting us into your world. These are important stories that stay with us.
