Meg in "She's So Special" is a classic Hollywood star with an inner trickster that takes us to unexpected, subversive territory with the grace and sensitivity of a million doves. ... full review

I loved watching Meg's journey from her small town to the big city, and then back to the small town again, and maybe to the big city a few more times?? As a performer, Meg is so instantly likable and I was completely enchanted by all of her sincere silliness. Her ability to bounce between multiple characters paid off as she crammed a whole world full of relationships, friendships, and tricky family dynamics into a tight 30 minute show that never feels too fast or too busy. She even deftly explored some intense topics around consent and toxic relationships and she handled their thorniness perfectly. Her many years of clown work was also on display as she had masterful crowd interactions which felt timed just enough to connect with an audience... full review

A breath of fresh air for anyone who enjoys a clown that knows how to take their time. I never get the sense that I won't be taken care of in a Meg Cheng performance, and that feeling was ever present in this show. Loved the extra oompf for this fringe run too.... full review

A ridiculously charming and stupid piece of theater. Meg creates a show that is so quintessentially singular while also lampooning American theater tropes with a wink and a hand under her dress as a large boner.... full review

Hilarious. This classic "gotta get out of this town" takes a lot of twisted turns and the funny idiotic/unexpected sequences make it so good. Meg is so funny and surprising. I went with my baby and she was watching intently as well.... full review

A funny, absurd, surprising one-woman clown play that is tight and right and just how you'd want it. Meg is so funny and compelling and I loved watching the audience's eyes go wide as they laughed when they realized Meg's sweet look and demeanor conceal a darkly funny edge. I love this show!!! You should go see it!!... full review

So so so funny and completely ridiculous. Meg is completely delightful to watch. Not a moment wasted. The half hour is packed with comedy. A classic (??) story told in an increasingly bizarre fashion. I loved it!!!!... full review

Yes. Just yes. Meg is so engaging and easy to watch. She’s fun and playful. Often times you feel like you’re the only one in the room with her. She’s quirky and light. It felt like stand up comedy done on a different planet - and that’s a good thing. ... full review
