Such an excellent production! Funny, moving, surprising and immensely entertaining. An obscure history play done so well you’ll wonder why you’ve never heard of it. ...

Brilliant acting from the entire cast who clearly has a deep love and appreciation for Shakespeare and classical texts. I think the specific cuts made to the script were cleverer and thoughtful, allowing us to still understand the story for the most part while keeping the action consistently moving. Well I don't think the script is exceptionally strong, I do think that the actors elevated the text in every regard, and put great effort into their work. ...

THIS IS A PRODUCTION THAT TALENT BUILT
It is always fascinating to watch a talented group of actors create so much out of so little. The Bard would have heartily approved of this project....

I loved this show! It was such a treat to get to see a show that is so rarely done, done to such a high level. Even though it was under 90 minutes, it packed a punch from start to finish and used the time they had wisely. The acting was phenomenal across the board, and the direction brought out the humor and the heartbreak that this show offers. ...

Very well paced, swift and powerful. Particularly Brittany P and Dawn A in their scene as Countess with Warwick. So brilliantly acted! Thank you Porters for a great performance of Shakespeare!...

One of my favorite renditions of a Shakespeare play ever. Though the set is minimal, the performers fill every inch of the space with the energy they bring to this piece. Before watching this piece, I didn't know the plot of Edward III and I loved getting to experience it this way....

This is a truly extraordinary production of Edward III. All of the cast shine, especially since they're carrying a show in a blackbox theater without a set. King Edward III and the Countess of Salisbury in particular absolutely stole the show - some of the best Shakespearean acting I've seen in a long while. The costuming and lighting are understated but work well. Ultimately the script is weak in places, through no fault of the players (this acting company, The Porters of Hellsgate, are trying to stage all of Shakespeare, so I can't even fault them on their selection of play - they have to do them all!). They've tightened it up in places in a way that I appreciate though, and really highlighted the strengths of the script, particularly in t...
