Blown away: this is a must see. "Venus in Fur" is a complex, multi layered piece that requires strong performances from the two actors and detailed, expert direction. This production has it in rewarding spades. Director Amir Korangy brings all his vast experience to bear; keeping the story flowing and ratcheting the intensity while finding moments of hilarity, shock, surprise, unease and reveal. His pacing is spot on; his staging elegant yet simple. Bryan McKinley as Thomas the playwright and Rachael Meyers as Vanda the actress, are worthy opponents in this extraordinary tug of erotic war. One of the best shows I have seen all year! The play is about a casting session that intertwines with the personal lives of these characters, juggling with themes of gender, power, and desire. The play runs 90 minutes and not a moment is dull. The play is full of dynamic chemistry, boundaries being blurred, and control being pulled in many directions. Phenomenal performances, a show that looks ready for a professional run....

This production of Venus in Fur is a Fringe must-see. Rachael Meyers and Bryan McKinley deliver masterclass performances under the razor-sharp direction of Amir Korangy.

Her transitions between the erratic actress and the sophisticated dominatrix are seamless.
Bryan McKinley gives a layered, compelling portrayal of Thomas. He is a masterful, beautiful bundle of conflicting emotions. He captures the character’s initial self-assuredness and gradually exposes his vulnerabilities with subtlety and restraint.
