What I liked
I LOVED the picture of Kirk. And Brenda. The animated sequence, the stage design, and the sound/voice actors all helped this incredible (sometimes unbelievable at times) story. The zoom in of the “ok” may have been my favorite part.
What I didn't like
MORE SHOWS! I want to go again and bring my friends!
My overall impression
THIS WAS FANTASTIC. Laurie is such a skilled storyteller. The audience was taken care of the whole time and entertained, duh. I loved how she was in control. There are many solo shows where the person starts to trauma dump, and you’re left there watching like “oh they are working it out in front of me…eep.” This did not happen with Laurie. She had the time, self-reflection, and healing to be able to process and discuss her story. I applaud her. Plus, I was enthralled, the time zoomed by. Well done!
