My overall impression

This production was raw, beautiful and at points hard to sit through (not in a bad way). Misshapen makes you take a look at yourself and say, you are beautiful no matter what. It’s hard to do but this show forces you to do it. It makes you face something that isn’t easy to face. It’s something that we all struggle with.

I seriously have to applaud the creative team (director, writer, designers) on Misshapen as a whole. It is a HUGE feet to be able to have this big of an impact on an audience, especially one like myself who closes themselves off at times. I also want to thank them for bringing this to the world. It’s an important piece and one that needs to be told.

I also want to congratulate the actors on going deeper, not wider, with their work. It was beautiful and something I loved watching.

On the other hand, the show lacks polishing and working out of some moments that need more specificity. Some of the transitions were, at times, slow.

I really hope that Buried Moon Productions continues with this show and continues to develop it. It could seriously turn into a HUGE piece that sweeps America by storm!
