Where to start? Mallie’s complete and total commitment to literally dozens of characters and how effortlessly she flipped from the perfect breathless Rose impression to Jack’s California surfer vibe. The number of hand made elements, from props to wigs to costumes. The creativity in every element, especially showing the Titanic sink. The audience participation (I think more than half the audience was involved by the end of the fantastic magic pre-show), the water elements, the ice elements… I could go on and on but this is a show you have to SEE to believe!!
What I didn't like
Sometimes the tonal shift from a truly hilarious Titanic reenactment scene to a heavier emotional journal entry took me a beat to adjust. Think some trims, possibly to earlier journal entries that have the natural filler of a young teen, could make the show even tighter!
My overall impression
I absolutely LOVED this show! From the moment you are greeted with the sounds of crashing waves and a 16 foot hand painted Titanic, you’re in for an epic adventure. My face hurt from laughing by the end! Total Point Break Live energy except Mallie does it ALL! A hilarious, impressive, inventive and truly wild performance not to be missed! This has to run past Fringe so I can bring all my friends back! BRAVO!
