My overall impression
A powerful bildungsroman about young girlhood. It’s very hard to theatrically convey the awkwardness, confusion, and full-throated life of puberty but this show throws you right into the deep end. A dizzying whipsaw of crackling dialogue and sharper direction. Memorable characters, a simple but powerful set design, and a refreshing dash of authenticity make this play a powerful punch.
