Girl Blood doesn't shy away from the things we used to whisper about in middle school. This team jumps into discussions of puberty, sexual identity, and changing relationships head first. I thought the way they explored what gets passed down from mother to daughter, sibling to sibling, was executed brilliantly and it made me reflect on my own experiences at that age. I left the theater only moments ago can confidently know that this piece will remain with me. Already a concept that I knew I would enjoy but I couldn't have predicted to the degree that I love it. The second Andy's brother tried on the necklace I knew. That was me. Currently the powers that be tell us to hate our bodies and that they are unnatural yet they could not be more wrong. Every time the mirror was brought back to center stage we watched a character scrutinize themselves and find things to hate. The people around them never hated though. The people around them were the ones offering the truest of reflections.
