What I liked

Levatino is not boring. His work makes you think. His actors are honest.
I love what this play could become. II think it’s about grief and searching for connection.

What I didn't like

This isn’t, what I didn’t like – this is more like, a what if?
Levatino’s ethos has always been “speed and violence,” but this piece could be so much more powerful if instead of an almost coming to blows confrontation it was just an honest conversation between two men missing a sister and a wife. The hug that comes out of the resolution is truly of love. I think it should be the brother and husband watching the wedding footage at the end of the play. I think if he distilled this down to its basics this could be one of his most exciting and compelling pieces.

My overall impression

This is a work in progress and as such it’s hard to fairly critique anything, That being said Levatino is an incredibly talented and prolific writer. His work is always interesting and worth seeing. He always gets the best actors and has certainly done so here. Anytime you can hang a show on Patrick Flanagan you’re going to be in good shape and Levatino doesn’t disappoint and the two of them together are lovely I can’t wait to see what this turns into. What I think it is and could be is an amazing examination of how men deal with grief.
