About the Project
Upline follows four women as they become involved in Lumaplex, a vibrant and alluring multi-level marketing company. Kenzie and Alex, lifelong friends, join Lumaplex in pursuit of financial freedom and community, guided by Madison, the charismatic leader at the top of the pyramid. The arrival of Vic, a determined newcomer, disrupts the established order and forces the women to confront uncomfortable truths about the system they’re part of. As they rise through the ranks, they wrestle with ambition, relationships, and personal values. Upline explores themes of feminism, friendship, capitalism, and the pursuit of the American Dream, ultimately asking what one is willing to sacrifice to rise to the top.
