What I liked

You can tell that this ensemble likes working with each other and the source material, as this was one of the tightest performances I’ve seen this Fringe, and that says a lot given the amount of audience interaction there was. Even when things went wrong (which was only noticeable once) it only adds to the hilarity. I especially appreciated the self deprecating nods to performative social theatrics, starting right off the bat with the pre-show announcement. There wasn’t an unenjoyable second in the whole thing.

What I didn't like

MORE BLOOD

My overall impression

What a fun afternoon in the theatre! Top notch ensemble, classic source material, completely unhinged show! This was just fantastic. Both a sendup and an homage to Shakespeare, with a bit of current politics thrown in. And lots of fake blood. And squirt guns. And audience participation. And murder. Did I mention murder? No wonder this took best ensemble in San Diego Fringe. This is about as much fun as you’ll have in a theatre!
