The pure, unadulterated chaos is truly a work of art. Every moment from tip to tail is hilarious and unpredictable, and you will leave with a pain in your side.
I also absolutely loved my personal audience participation moment. I got drenched by a rogue audience member with a squirt gun, I took the weight of multiple people on my back, and of course, I got to die. And who doesn’t want that? It would be real fun to try to be involved in every audience participation moment in the show. (Well, minus one. I uh… don’t think I… ahem… qualify for one in particular…)
What I didn't like
It’s not even something that needs improvement, I just kind of want to see a version with even more water. But I think I’m just a sadist.
My overall impression
The most chaotic version of Shakespeare you will ever see. If you ever thought about watching Shakespeare but with screaming, sex jokes, chaotic props, jokes about sex, audience participation (willing or otherwise), penis jokes, puppet shows, commentary regarding the concept of sex and the issues surrounding sex that have persisted through all of time, and a splash zone, this might just be the show for you.
All four actors are hilarious and very VERY talented. They each have improvisation skills that make the chaos of audience participation that much better. And each show has its own slight differences based on what the audience chooses to do. This audience member has experience in stabbing? Let’s open that can of worms. That audience member is carrying the full weight of 3 people on their back? Wouldn’t it be great to ask them which show they’d recommend right this second? The splash zone reached the tech booth and may have hit the laptop a little bit? WHOOPS. Let’s play off of that.
Ultimately, a wonderful show that is so chaotic and fun that you’ll want to see it again and again and again. Maybe even bringing a handful of sacrifices- I mean, friends, to be “willing participants” in the show. Just to see what they’ll do.
