What I liked

I loved the VO style lines, the mopping breakdowns were hilarious, the cast has good chemistry, the water gun introduction was so incredibly funny and the puppet show was amazing

What I didn't like

It was so fun! There were times when it felt like maybe there was a pause/hold where other audiences reacted more to a joke so if you’re an audience member go in ready

My overall impression

Imagine CliffsNotes for Shakespearian deaths, presented as a speed-through recap that emanates the tone of the three endings in Clue, paired with the memorable effects of Waterworld at Universal Studios, and you’d have 79 Ways to Die.

This has a surprising blend of humor, quality ass-shaking, innuendo, puppetry, and “realistic” practical effects, all performed by a group of actors that know how to charm you into cheering them on.

This is a show that exudes the very heart of what Fringe does best. It’s camp, it’s fun, and doesn’t ask you to take it, or yourself, too seriously.
