What I liked
Smith’s mastery of the small space and incredible lighting—as well as his mid-show transformation—is an act of theatre to behold, and would be lost in a large space. The intimacy of the space makes every shouted syllable, every quaver in his voice, and every strained muscle and expression resonate from the floor through the walls. Just a powerful performance by an immensely talented performer.
What I didn't like
The performance I experienced was brilliant exactly as it was.
My overall impression
Stephen Smith is positively RIVETING, and does a marvelous job bringing Poe’s spirit to life as well as his words! I’ve only seen Part I and I can’t WAIT to see part 2.
