My overall impression
I hate horror flicks, so I was a little nervous before I sat down to see Exorcistic. However, I saw Orgasmico’s “Doomsday Cabaret” last year and was really impressed, so I thought I’d give this a shot. I’m glad I did.
This show is a very clever, eloquently low-tech theatrical knockout. It is to the Exorcist what Scary Movie should have been to other horror movies. I laughed my ass off for 80 minutes straight. Laura Sperrazza absolutely steals the show as Megan O’Neil/herself/the demon. Musical numbers like “Your Cunting Daughter” and “Your Mother Sucks Cocks In Hell” mean it’s not for the easily offended, but it’s a well-executed, slick gutbuster. Don’t miss it.
