My overall impression
Based on a true story, MONA LISA MISSING is a musical mystery and love story set in early 20th century France.
While the story may be a bit derivative and predictable at times, it was altogether a very enjoyable experience, with fun songs, beautiful set design, and a delightful and strong ensemble.
A couple of shout outs— the cop was so solid onstage, emanating a confidence in presence that did not go unnoticed. The operatic villain was great, I could listen to him sing all day. And to all of the lovely musicians—Brava!
