What I liked
The music, the overall vibe, the singing (oh the horror of musicals wherein even one person is off key…!), the look, the accents (that can be tricky), the direction. Really this is such a fun show I have little about which to complain. Just enjoyable in so many ways!
What I didn't like
Hmmm. Well, this is almost churlish to say, but I don’t think this musical approaches the rank of the best musicals like those Sondheim, or for that matter CHESS, EVITA, THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, etc. Which is like sneering at a skyscraper because it isn’t as tall the Empire State!
My overall impression
A delightful romantic romp in the Belle Epoque, full of charming songs staged well with a good cast having a great time.
