About the Project
“A Year With Frog and Toad” by Robert and Willie Reale is a delightful musical comedy based on the Frog and Toad childrens’ stories by Arnold Lobel. The musical chronicles a year in the life of Frog and Toad, two neighbors who discover the magic and adventure in new found love. The Recess Theatre Company sets out to reimagine this beloved story by setting the action in modern-day Brooklyn and examining the budding relationship between John Toad and Lauren Frog as they navigate the tricky world of “the friend zone”.
