My overall impression
Wow.
This was not at all what I thought it would be. It is so much deeper. Particularly amazing is that as Kahlil Ashanti careens between hilarity describing the people he encountered along this true-life journey, and highlighting some pretty intense stuff dealing with family trauma, he never loses the story. It all builds to a point. It’s glorious. I’m still in wow mode.
The ending is just perfect. So fine. It’s just great.
