About the Project
Grindr. A sea of headless torsos and elevated egos. The show begins as a tiny critique of the infamous mobile hook-up app and tackles the classism/ageism/racism and internalized homophobia within the gay community. Peppered with humorous excerpts from his life “I’m a gay man and I’m pissed” is the sum of J.P. Herrera’s battle to define himself in a world rapidly becoming safe and PC. Make no mistake, this show isn’t just about gay people. It’s also about the people who love them and the one’s who’ve wronged them.
