The play was raw, surreal, and powerful in its honesty. From the moment I entered the space I felt uncomfortable and curious, as Janya’s stage bled out into the audience seats. Through the journey of the play, I felt like I was diving deeper into her mind without even moving a muscle, and peculiarly enough I was pleasantly disarmed through her subtle comedy, and comforted by the moments of relatability to her story. The bizarre set seemlessly evolved into such a comfortable yet brutally vulnerable space, all due to the magic with which Janya was able to draw me in. The show was so different from any show I have seen this year. It was refreshing to see something so honest and vulnerable in such a creative way. Beyond that it was also beautifully written with parts that were interactive, which made the play and the topic so much richer in what it said. It was not a straight up play which I love because it makes you think after it is over....

What an incredible experience! We were utterly immersed in the author's mind, exploring the complexities of self-perception, the world, and one's position within it. It was a fascinating myriad of introspective and insightful musings. Intimate and intelligent, the performance generously revealed thoughts, fears, feelings, darkest corners, and brightest hopes. Truly outstanding!...

This show was the most aesthetic and thought-provoking one-person show I’ve seen in this season of Fringe so far. That being said, this artful piece shared many words that are noteworthy and call attention to the state of being perceived, confronting contradictions, and dealing with inner demons. One of the lines that resonated was that we settle with assumptions. What a mesmerizing performance of the personification of intrusive thoughts. ...
