What I liked

Sam’s earnest portrayal of her young naive self offers a forgiving and spirited lens for us to confront the ugliness of what happened to this land. I think that’s where the real power of this show comes from… she’s inviting us to learn and grow WITH her.

What I didn't like

I wish I could’ve hugged Sam more after the show but the line to say hi to her was too long!

My overall impression

Sam is a captivating story-teller who fully transports the audience in a warm, sensory, loving reflection on sexuality, colonization, and where we’re from. As deeply devastating as the story of our land’s original caretakers is, Sam’s spirit shines a bright optimism that we can learn and be better. There’s a power to her presence onstage that will make you comfortable as you stare at uncomfortable truths.
