What I liked

Samantha’s charisma, talent, singing voice, her ability to include song in her 1 woman show was so lovely. And the story and perspective. You rarely get to see a lovely portrayal of this duality that can live within us – the love for indigenous perspectives, and the dichotomous ability to also be a part of the colonial culture that surrounds us all. This character embodies the two. And she’s grappling with it throughout the show. Quite astounding.

What I didn't like

Nothing tbh. It was freaking fantastic.

My overall impression

This was fantastic. You really should go to this if you can. Samantha’s characterization of a 14 year old queer girl was nuanced, hilarious at many many times, but also really deep and sentimental, and thought provoking at others. It’s a great story, told sometimes in a poetic way at times, other times in a very simple straightforward way. It weaved in what seemed to be perspectives from her future self, reflecting on her past, just truly effortlessly. Samantha is insanely talented. This was hilarious and incredibly thought provoking. Highly highly recommend.
