What I liked
VonDexter’s subtle physical changes are stunning. Both VonDexter and Tiffany’s emotional depth shine as they bring these characters to life. J. Holtham’s text is universal in its specifics and emotionally engaging. The themes of change, growth, and longing are powerful, dancing just under the text, devastating us with every twist.
What I didn't like
I wonder if this play could be even more engaging in a smaller space. Notably, I never “lost” the actors on stage, but I was marveling at the fact that this play needs very little when it comes to “size” – a feat in itself.
My overall impression
A beautiful two-hander that delivers on everything it promises and more. The sci-fi twists and turns and emotional resonance are profoundly engaging.
