What I liked

I can respect he tried something new and took a chance. He had a couple of funny vampire puns.

What I didn't like

When the joke bombs, don’t blame the audience every time for not getting. We got it, we just did not laugh. If the show is presented as someone being Dracula in character doing stand-up, you gotta stay in character and really work out some solid jokes or stories with great punchlines at the end. Practice your set. Put a little more time and care into your costume and makeup (I promise there are YouTube tutorials that can help you look more like Dracula and less like the Joker). Running through your entire set list so soon shows us you didn’t prepare at all. If you want to rant about Vanderpump Rules for 30 minutes, just do a Vanderpump Rules themed stand-up show. In full honesty, I don’t think the Dracula bit works for you and just being yourself would work much better.

My overall impression

It’s very rare I post a review about a performance. However, since each ticket (with the service fee) was 15 dollars and this was a doozy, I feel like it’s worth posting about. We were his first audience for the show and it was a mess from start to finish. He had his set list out and referred to it very often (too often), but still somehow struggled his way through. He’d forget if he told jokes and ask us if he already told them (he did). He’d forget to do a bit that involved a lighting change from Zach in the booth and then stand there for long beats of time asking Zach if he should try it again, or he’d yell at Zach about missing a cue (a non-existent cue. Zach, you did your best with nothing). He ran out of material within what seemed to be 25 minutes and just ranted about random stuff for the rest of the hour, including his previous drug problems and sexual escapades. All while his jaggedly applied make-up was sweating off of his face (and while his fly was down). He even “joked” about feeling like he was holding some of us hostage towards the end, which was an accurate feeling. He joked about offering refunds, which I would love if it was not a joke, but I am not holding my breath. I promise I am not trying to just be mean for no reason because this genuinely was one of the roughest stand-up sets I’ve ever seen. I beg of you to charge maybe only 5 dollars max if you do this again.
