I loved when Joy made asides you could tell (or she said) weren’t in the script. It helped frame the show and connect with her in a genuine way. I also thought the show itself was well-written and clever.
What I didn't like
There were times when she lost her place in the script and that made me lose focus as well. Once or twice when that happened, she would go back and redo the same line with the exact same delivery, and that made it feel a little more artificial.
My overall impression
A funny, honest look at love addiction and how it might apply to any of us. I loved Joy’s romp through her body count and her deeper dives into psychology, culture, and pathology!
