I thought the show was well-produced. The acting was first-rate and held my attention from beginning to end. The videos, pictures, and music were good supporting tools to enhance the story and remind us of the timeframe being conveyed.
What I didn't like
I suspect many stories and moments were left out because of time constraints. I wish the show had been at least 90 minutes long.
My overall impression
I thoroughly enjoyed There is Something Seriously Wrong with Cyrus at the Zephyr Theater. It was relatable and touching on many emotional levels. Everyone I know has mixed emotions about their parental units as they pass from childhood to adolescence. Cyrus addressed his personal growth with humor and honesty, sometimes exposing his most vulnerable moments. It is reassuring to know that he overcame his upbringing and became his own person with a little help from some very special people in his life.
