What I liked
Imagery, tableaux, set design.
What I didn't like
Solid production in its current form. I would have liked to seen a bit more urgency from the top of the show, but that’s just my preferred writing style to get heavy into the action ASAP… maybe a matter of artistic differences. Just a thought for a future production!
My overall impression
Fantastic set design and some beautiful, grimy imagery in the text. Wonderful tableaux created throughout, using the height and scale of the set to its advantage. Honest, compelling performances by the whole cast. The whole piece feels like a lot of love and care went into mounting this production.
