What I liked
I was immediately invested in the central relationship between the two girls, falling in love with the characters and actresses. Brian’s playful staging, combined with such a smart script and truly electric performances, results in something very special. All of this is made even better by a really impressive set piece – simple, and perfectly immersive.
What I didn't like
I have no notes. I think this script has the potential to be very widely produced. Any theater company looking for new, relevant, queer plays would be lucky to stumble across this one.
My overall impression
This play is great. A really incredible new script, and brilliant direction from Brian Eckert (as always). As funny as it is heartbreaking. Fresh and unique, an instant classic.
