My overall impression

I don’t tent to watch many live productions but Mikvah Girls is a must see. The performances were so compelling, I found myself LOLing and shedding a few tears. I was particular floored by Maya Knell’s performance, who flawlessly handles the darker subject material with grace. In addition, the chemistry between Sofia Joanna and Maya Knell is undeniable. Both gave a nuanced performance that left me moved as I made my way back home. Rachel Wender has a much smaller role here is in no way a small actor. She commands the stage in each scene she’s in. The show was a perfect balance of humor, heart, and Bruce. I highly recommend!
