Wow. I heard another audience member gasp "wow" at a pivotal moment near the end of the play and that's exactly what I felt too. Absolutely loved Mikvah Girls. Emmy Weissman's writing is so smart and funny. The leads Maya Knell and Sofia JoAnna perfectly land every joke and every heartbreaking moment in this stript. Astounding: the acting really stuck out as excellent. From the beginning when each actor entered and looked at the audience, to the end where we feel like we’ve gone on a full journey: flawless. Powerful performances and a beautiful set. It felt so personal, moving, and endearing. I want to see more performances by all three of these actors. I’d basically see anything they participate in.
