The play presented two dynamic actors rekindling old wounds from the past while showcasing the reality of a tumultuous brother-sister relationship. I went into this knowing very little about the play and was pleasantly surprised about how conversational and natural it felt. I loved the set design and the meticulous artistic decisions and flourishes that elevated the experience. The performances were heart-wrenching and intensely moving. It's hard to imagine a more engaging 50 minutes of narrative drama than this stunning and electric performance from Gouchoe and Nardelli. Simplified to it's purest form, the emotional journey of these characters speaks directly to the heart of anyone lucky enough to be in the seats in front of them. Popovic's direction is reserved and nuanced, providing subtle accents that heighten the emotional currency - making it hard, if not impossible to not fall in love with this brother and sister pair. By the end of the play, as the lights go down, they have captured our hearts - leaving us with a palpable and rich understanding of why the piece was written in the first place.
