This play succeeds in droves as a modern tale of social anxiety. BK Wong's performance is as credible as it gets, oozing sincerity and awkwardness while drawing her audience in to her train-of-though narrative of bad decisions....

Brenda "BK" Wong's debut as the unlikely hero of her own story resonates with personal vulnerability, humor and a whole lot of positivity. Honored to see this first performance from a writer who I look forward to seeing back at fringe again soon....

This sounds like such a wild and introspective ride! Honestly, if I were in the storyteller’s shoes, I’d probably be stuck in an endless loop of overthinking—Should I go on this camping trip with strangers? Yes or No? In fact, I’d probably end up using this Yes or No picker wheel I rely on for silly decisions. One spin, and if it lands on "Yes," I guess I’m packing my bags and hoping for the best! Though, knowing my luck, that would lead to even more questionable decisions. Either way, this show sounds like an emotional and interactive experience—definitely intriguing!...

Intrusive Thoughts is such a raw and real representation of what it’s like growing up to believe that you’re inherently broken and messed up, what it’s like to want to go to sleep before you’ve really woken up to who you want to be. BK’s vulnerability and willingness to share her story from the depths of her darkest thoughts, conveyed in ways both heavy and humorous, take us on this healing journey in the mountains with her....

Incredibly relatable story. Most people have experienced low self-esteem and a lot of us did resort to self-harm and ideations at some point and, even more disturbingly, a lot of us don't get the help we need until we're adults. It's a beautiful story with serious themes but its framed with tons of humor and Brenda does a great job of lowering the audiences defenses from the very beginning so they really feel like they're apart of the story. ...

This show was ADORABLE! BK is so naturally fun and funny. And the show comes with a real lesson: Don't let others tell you how to think.
I had a blast....
