What I liked
So many Fringe solo shows dwell on trauma and difficulty and finding one’s way through the darkness. But Joanna sees the light in every situation, sings some lovely and humorous songs to put them in perspective, and presents shifts in her own focus and redefinition of success. A wonderful, uplifting, inspiring, and motivating performance!
What I didn't like
If there was a way to improve this, I think Joanna would have found it by now.
My overall impression
What a wonderful, fun, uplifting show! Joanna deftly guides her audience through her career, ranging from hoping to make her living on musical theater to embracing her day job as a transcriber, and does it with skill, talent, humor, positivity, joy, and unchecked passion. Don’t miss this, it’s a delight!
