Acting, writing, storytelling— truly all imaginable aspects of the show.
What I didn't like
Perhaps this was a previews-only occurrence, but I do believe the show ran about 10 mins longer than I anticipated.
My overall impression
Silly and smart. Those are the words that kept ringing through my head after I left the theater, feeling completely satisfied with the story I’d just participated in. Silly: goofball characters, absurd accusations (ex: I’ll be “fined” for not writing this review!), giggle-worthy improv. Smart: eerily honest parallels to real-life America (ex: book banning), a “democracy” that knowingly excludes large populations. Oh and the acting?? Beyond reproach. Each performer slides in and out of innumerable characters with ease and tact. I’m so glad I saw this show before it inevitably sells out for the rest of the run.
