I know they lost an actor to illness but the understudy for EARTH did great. I also liked that we were involved in the show. I was skeptical this could work when we were in breakout groups, but I think they did a good job of putting us to work. It didnt’ feel didactic. And even the part that could have sounded like a cheesy kids’ theater piece, totally leaned in, which is what made that section so funny.
What I didn't like
NOT A CALLFORIMPROVEMENT, THISSITE IS MAKING ME PUTTINGSOMETHINGHERE…. Some singing was stronger than other, especially when performers leaned into character voices.
My overall impression
HYSTERICAL, WITTY, SO FREAKINGCLEVERAND I LEARNED A FEWTHINGS
I went in thinking “OK, a show about how we are inevitably doomed to die on this earth”, I’m only watching this because I know the guy in it…. and left with a lot of laughter, enjoying the funeral format and feeling personally accountable in a way that was effective.
