What I liked
The physical comedy was hilarious, and you just know he’s sweating like crazy under that ridiculous(awesome) beard and wig. He’s a great storyteller, and I want a whole series of movies retold more quickly by Riley. Special shout out to the bonus DVD content, an absolutely clutch move. You don’t have to have seen the Lord of the Rings to love this show, but if you love the Lord of the Rings then you have to see this show.

My overall impression
One man, dressed as Gandalph, retells in vivid detail on half hour of cinema. Riley was such a commanding presence. The accurate parts were incredible and hilarious spot on, the voices! the eyes! and the not so accurate parts were still hilarious anyway. Not that I would really know. I’ve watched all of the lord of rings exactly one time and the particular insistence of an ex. Maybe that whole year and a half of sh*t was worth so that I could fully enjoy this raucous performance this evening. The audience was full, and the musical score sounded beautiful. It was a clown on a tightrope, and a treat.
