A wild time for anyone. It's so specific and funny and ridiculous. The way Riley finds humor in storytelling and showcasing the specificity of story is a good time. A throughly funny experience for anyone! ... full review

You may think you know the Lord of the Rings the Fellowship of the Ring but you haven't seen it laid out this hilariously and bluntly and chaotically before and you will be missing out if you don't see it through Riley's bearded Gandalf eyes. An absurd, delightfully dumb and revealingly odd look at what happens in this movie, scene by scene. The audience was in stitches and cackling the whole time it was such an experience. It made me want to see the movie for the first time again since it came out but maybe I actually just want to hear every movie told through Riley's silly loud voice. ... full review

One man, dressed as Gandalph, retells in vivid detail on half hour of cinema. Riley was such a commanding presence. The accurate parts were incredible and hilarious spot on, the voices! the eyes! and the not so accurate parts were still hilarious anyway. Not that I would really know. I’ve watched all of the lord of rings exactly one time and the particular insistence of an ex. Maybe that whole year and a half of sh*t was worth so that I could fully enjoy this raucous performance this evening. The audience was full, and the musical score sounded beautiful. It was a clown on a tightrope, and a treat. ... full review

I had so much fun!!! It was so funny and as a huge fan of the movie it was dead on. One of my favorite shows I've seen at the fringe. Go see this show! I could've watched another hour of this. ... full review

A thoroughly enjoyable interpretation of the Lord of the Rings, minus the scenery, large cast. and special effects. All of these are replaced by Riley Smith acting out the scenes, while doing an incredibly thorough and oftentimes hilarious job of describing the movie action.... full review

I have never seen Lord of the Rings, and I am fully invested in this saga because of this show. The performance and the humor are so effervescent that I am having a blast -- especially because Riley is having a blast. The stamina alone is incredible. Well done!... full review

Performed with an uncanny mix of preparation and improvisation that makes you feel your wackiest friend has just leapt up from the sofa after indulging in various mood-enhancers and decided to tell you the entire plot of his favorite movie. I saw this at the end of a day when I had already seen three shows and driven back and forth across the westside, the valley and Hollywood, and all my fatigue melted away in an instant. What a fun way to complete the theatre-going day!... full review

Laughter from start to finish. Riley has a great sense of comedic timing and charismatic stage presence. As someone who doesn't particularly enjoy the LOTR films, I can recommend to those that share the same sentiment to not let that be a barrier for you to consider. Riley does a fantastic job of interpreting and adapting the source into a hilarious event. For fans of the movies, I do think they will be even more appreciative of the show, as some of the moments do tend to feel like an inside joke. Regardless, this show is a blast and I'd definitely recommend it if it fits into your schedule and you want a good laugh.... full review

The Lord of the Rings: . . . Extended Edition: Part two was fun. Riley Smith is Gandalf and his retelling of Peter Jackson’s filmic masterpiece made me smile and laugh. With the audience providing the film’s well-known soundtrack, we were made part of the story and enjoyed sharing Smith’s adventure.... full review
