I could really identify with practically every character in some way. I couldn’t help but be drawn to more than one character because the group functioned so well together and had a clear mature working connection.
What I didn't like
The protagonist of friday night funkin’ is Boyfriend, a young man full of passion who is trying to win Girlfriend over. But he has to overcome a number of difficult challenges, so this love journey is anything but easy. Every week, Boyfriend has to win fierce showdowns against a competitor or a group of rivals. Every victory in these intense clashes is a demonstration of his musical skill and tenacity, as they are set to the beat of upbeat and intense rap songs.
My overall impression
What a great rendition of Three Sisters by Chekhov. It’s difficult to tell a COVID story, but this one really touched me. There is enough for viewers to connect with in the home’s familial dynamics and enormous cast. Even though it was stripped down for the festival, the production was quite subtle, so I would love to watch it again to learn even more about the plot. I’m really impressed with this new business and am eager to follow their future endeavors!
