Conversations In Exile is a great production that is thoughtfully and beautifully written for recent times. The acting is excellent and clearly portrays the characters lost happiness as they navigate family, desire, love and regret amidst a sea of unfulfilled dreams and ambitions. Poignant and relatable with a touch of humor, this thought-provoking play translates the depth and complexity of Checkov’s original Three Sisters to a time of covid, wildfires and social unrest. Conversations in Exile explores the complexity of family relationships in a tangible and modern adaptation of Chekov's Three Sisters. Covid and the reckoning of social justice issues that arose during 2020 in every home in America are brought to light in this thoughtfully crafted play. The actors are incredibly sincere and embody the struggles we all faced during this difficult time in our collective history.
